Join our team as a Cloud Program Manager, where your role will go beyond traditional program management to deliver cutting-edge solutions that are deeply rooted in innovation and cloud excellence. As a Cloud Program Manager, you will specialize in the program management, governance and orchestration of enterprise cloud engagements. Your role is instrumental in driving the adoption of cloud solutions, supporting cloud account teams such as Google, AWS and Microsoft, and maximizing cloud potential for customers.

As part of our team, your program management expertise in cloud  processes will be key. You’ll be working alongside delivery and governance teams that bring their own expertise, and you will be expected to bridge the gap between the two, contributing your experiences and adopting their practices to create a cohesive delivery management team. With that synergy, you’ll  apply your expertise to quickly bring projects to life through tried-and-tested methodologies that mesh with cloud provider and customer teams, ensuring smooth and seamless delivery.  

The Cloud Program Manager role requires experience in delivery of enterprise cloud projects managing a team of cross-functional subject matter experts (“SMEs”) with experience planning and executing the governance of cloud adoption, IT transformation or cloud migrations with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of both IT and cloud technologies. Our ideal candidate has extensive background in defining processes and creating a Way of Working (“WoW”) that manages overall technical project delivery with accountability for milestone achievement, project acceptance and budget management while developing relationships and communication rapport with external and internal stakeholders including C-level executives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the program management of multi-functional cloud professional services projects, covering program planning, delivery assurance and verification, tracking and reporting, and risk and mitigation planning.
  2. Take various project requirements and organize them into clear goals and objectives and break down large projects/processes into sub-projects and sub-processes that could be executed by other teams or partners.
  3. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  4. Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders, including senior management and customers.
  5. Be accountable for meeting revenue, project and growth objectives and for meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction targets.
  6. Build and maintain strong internal team and customer relationships at tactical and operational levels with the objective of being a trusted business partner.
  7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and best practices. Drive teams to execute projects, facilitating and enabling neutral thinking, conflict resolution and effective communication.
  8. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support customer engagements and ensure customer success.
  9. Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, features, and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a cloud computing or technology environment.
  3. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, technologies, and best practices.
  4. Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects and programs. Experience with networking and systems.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  7. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and customer base and collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  2. Experience leveraging quantitative assessment and analysis for decision-making and prioritization.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the  cloud ecosystem  and the differentiators of various cloud offerings.
  4. Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  5. Ability to work in ambiguous situations and define a path to resolution.

Certifications

  1. Any Google Cloud Professional certification preferred but not required.
  2. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). 

Travel

Cloud Program Managers are an integral part of the delivery governance team for professional services engagements, and as such, periodic travel to customer sites may be necessary.
